Why start home brewing is a common question, Hopefully this article will help you out in making your mind up
Product Information
If you have the question “why home brew ?” at the moment well this guide is here to help you make your mind up.
I’m not going to fill this article up with lies and marketing gimmicks I’m just going to give you my view on home brewing.
Personally I have only gotten into the very easy sort of home brewing such as the coopers microbrewery kit. Now these kits are extremely easy and i would recommend to any one thinking about getting into home brewing.
Anyway back to the topic, if you’re currently going to the bottle shop and thinking you are wasting a lot of money on alcohol. Then maybe you should start thinking about home brewing. The initial costs of setting up a home brew is very little and in the long run you will save quite a bit a of money.
Once you have set up a home brew kit the ongoing costs are so cheap. You will most likely spend 10-20 dollars per 23 litres of beer which equates to about 2 cartons of beer.
So not only the cost is cheap you can also develop the beer to your own tastes. For example i have been able to make ginger beer with a 7% alcohol content and could probably go higher without ruining the taste. I have also tried a guarrana beer which came out to be bitter sweet with a little energy kick. The amount of different combinations and flavours are endless.
Time may be another factor which may change your mind on home brewing. Home brewing on the advanced level is very time consuming but is also very rewarding. However the easier kits such as the beer machine and the Coopers Microbrewery aren’t very time consuming and if you have more then 10 minutes spare a week then you will have no trouble fitting home brewing in.
I hope this article has helped in some way and you have made up your mind about home brewing.
